COE PTA

We are parents, teachers, administrators, and others in the community who are dedicated to supporting our students through programs, family events, volunteer work, & teacher support. We work together to provide Cheetahs with the best learning environment possible.  PTA membership is as diverse as Texas is in cultures, education levels and parenting skills.  By joining the PTA, a member automatically becomes part of the largest child advocacy organization in the state -- over 630,000 strong across Texas.

PTA Mission

The mission of the PTA is three-fold:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

PTA Vision

Making every child's potential a reality.

PTA Purpose

  • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship
  • To raise the standards of home life;
  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;
  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth;
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education

What Does PTA Do?

PTAs work for children. PTAs meet together, study problems, support teachers, volunteer in schools, attend workshops on parenting, and become informed on issues regarding children and youth.  As a result, PTA members have become better parents, teachers, and citizens.

 Money raised by the PTA has funded:

  • Field trips for every grade
  • After-school enrichment programs
  • Books for classrooms and the library
  • Instructional materials for classrooms (e.g., science programs)
  • Classroom supplies (e.g., pencils, markers, erasers, etc.)
  • Supplies for special classes (including musical instruments, art supplies, and PE equipment)
  • Reflections art program
  • Field Day
  • Teacher Appreciation events

Your financial and volunteer contributions also support fun activities and fundraising events throughout the year, including:

  • Back to School Bash
  • Truck-or-Treat
  • Other Family Events
  • Yearbook production
  • Spirit wear (school t-shirts, socks)
  • Talent Show
  • Spring Carnival
  • And many more...

Please help us continue supporting our students, teachers, and school by becoming a member of the Chandler Oaks PTA.
